Breixo Gómez-Meijide Convenor CEN TC227 WG1
EAPA Technical Director, Breixo Gomez, has been appointed as new Convenor of CEN Technical Committee 227 – Working Group 1. The decision was first unanimously agreed by the Members of the Working Group during the last meeting on 6th and 7th May 2020, and then voted by the National Mirror Committees of the Members States on 17th June 2020.
In this way, Breixo takes over from former EAPA Secretary General, Egbert Beuving, who was Convenor over the last 18 years. During the last meeting, the Members of the Working Group took advantage of the occasion to express their gratitude for the enormous dedication and wish for a happy retirement.
CEN TC227 is the European Technical Committee in charge of preparing specifications, test methods and compliance criteria for materials for construction and maintenance of roads, airfields and other trafficked areas. It is divided in different Working Groups (WG), where WG1 is dedicated to “Bituminous Mixtures”.
