New EAPA Task Force

EAPA has officially launched a new TF with the general objective of finding a common understanding/position on the potential for decarbonisation and the readiness of the asphalt industry to achieve carbon neutrality in the paving sector. The work has already started by identifying the sources of emissions in the asphalt manufacturing and paving process and the potential reductions that can be achieved through the use of a wide range of green technologies. The work will also cover how the use of low rolling resistance asphalt and different maintenance strategies for surface layers can also help to decarbonise the road transport sector.
