EAPA Technical Director, Breixo Gomez, has been appointed as new Convenor of CEN Technical Committee 227 – Working Group 1.
EAPA calls for #Asphalt_Heroes!
Will you help us to promote and recognise people from our industry and inspire young people to work in the asphalt industry? Then join the #Asphalt_Heroes campaign!
With this campaign we want to honour the heroes of the Asphalt Industry and the Road who keep us moving every day. EAPA will create a series of posters and online information where the unique story of the heroes and their work will be told.
What are #Asphalt_Heroes?
People who actually work on and for our asphalt roads. Think about, for example, asphalt workers or machinery drivers working on-site, road designers working in an office, operators working in an asphalt plant or engineers developing the latest digital technologies for construction equipment and/or data management. We call them all heroes because, every day, they provide their superpowers to deliver the best asphalt roads, even in difficult circumstances and while keeping everybody safe.
Are you one of the #Asphalt_Heroes or do you know any?

Construction 2050 Alliance
The Construction 2050 Alliance aims at coordinating common political messages of the construction value chain and raise the political importance of the sector at the European level. The sustainable Europe of tomorrow cannot be achieved without all the actors involved in the construction process. For this reason, the main EU construction stakeholders have decided to join their forces and establish the “Construction 2050 Alliance”. This is an unprecedented alliance of around 50 construction related associations, amongst them the European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA). Further information will be provided later this year.
